Our recruitment procedure includes a formal interview; personal and professional reference confirmation; DBS checks (Disclosure and Barring Service) We also confirm any training already received and verify certification.

All of our carers undergo mandatory on-going training & regular supervision.

Training (Mandatory)

• Basic Life Support
• Moving & Handling
• Safeguarding vulnerable adults
• Health and safety
• Fire safety
• Food Hygiene
• Deprivation of Liberty safeguarding
• Conflict resolution
• Administration of medication

All new members of the team are checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) which includes their name being passed through the register for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults. All references are taken up with past employers. When this procedure has been fully completed then employment within Care Central will gradually be introduced.
